12/30/2018 Contest is closed for stories, still accepting Poetry
Christmas Writers Contest – For Christmas 2018, Beneath the Rainbow is opening a new contest for your Christmas stories. Winning entries will receive $200 for first place, $100 for second place and $50 for third. We will also select two honorable mentions. We have a $50 prize for the best Christmas poem as well.
There is no charge for membership reading group or for submissions. The material you send may have been previously published, but it must be your original work.
All submissions for our Christmas contests should be spiritual or human in nature—no blood and guts, no pornography, no science fiction please! We want uplifting stories of a lighter nature that are fit for Christmas reading and suitable for young readers.
Entries must be submitted during the month of November, November 30 deadline. Those we consider appropriate will be published during the month of December, and winners will be announced on or before January first. Those who submit entries in this contest agree to the publication of their work, both on our website and in print. Authors retain all rights for their work.
1000 – 3000 words
No PDF files please
No excessive tabs or spaces.
Submit in common word processor format or plain text.
Prizes to be paid via PayPal, or Amazon gift certificate.
Send your work as an attachment along with brief bio and one link to your author, blog, or web page. If you have a blog or web page make sure you have a reciprocal link to Beneath The Rainbow and include where that can be found in your email.
